The conference is organized by the Hungarian Association for Image Analysis and Pattern Recognition (in Hungarian KÉPAF) and involves various topics on image processing, pattern recognition, computer vision and machine learning. It is the main biennial event for the Hungarian image processing and computer vision community. The following conference will take place between 28th and 31th of January, 2025 in Hévíz, Hungary.
The conference follows a single track and traditionally is composed of six half-day events. It also includes invited talks as well as the spotlight presentations of the accepted papers followed by discussions in the poster sessions. One of the main goals of the conference to present the recent advances and research results published by the community. The accepted papers are published in the online version of the conference proceedings. Moreover, the biennial renewal meeting takes place during the conference, where the steering committee of the association is also elected.
The Kuba Attila Prize and the Csetverikov Dmitrij Prize will each be awarded separately to young scientists authoring the best papers selected by the dedicated committee. The Kuba Attila Prize recognizes internationally outstanding multidisciplinary work that plays a decisive role in solving fundamental problems across co-disciplines, while the Csetverikov Dmitrij Prize honors new and generally applicable theoretical methods, algorithms, or models. Additionally, the best PhD dissertation will also be awarded with the PhD prize.
It is not only welcome but is highly encouraged that industrial companies attend on the conference and present their work and results on the relevant application domains. The conference offer an opportunity to show technical demos of industrial applications in a dedicated sessions.
As in previous events, presentations describing the activities of research teams are welcome in a separate section.
The official language of the conference is both English and Hungarian.
